Young Leader Wins Critical State House Special Election

Jennifer Mandelbaum wins Rockingham 21 Special Election

PORTSMOUTH, NH - In response to Jennifer Mandelbaum’s overwhelming victory in the Rockingham District 21 Special Election, 603 Forward Leadership Development Director Tim Peltier released the following statement:

“If we want New Hampshire to be a place where Granite Staters want to stay, work, and raise their families, the most important thing we can do is elect more leaders like Jennifer Mandelbaum. From her community organizing work and service as a Portsmouth Library Trustee to her campaign for State House, Jennifer has shown a deep commitment to her community.

At 603 Forward, we know that young leaders like Jennifer bring the urgency needed to make sure we're building a New Hampshire where every hard-working Granite Stater has the opportunity to thrive. Voters are tired of the radical conservative agenda in the State House that divides us with divisive rhetoric in an attempt to distract us from the massive tax cuts for corporations and the ultra-rich that are robbing us of our future.

With more champions like Jennifer in office, we can deliver on protecting abortion access, build more housing, strengthen our public schools, and build a truly representative democracy. Congratulations to Jennifer on a hard-won campaign.”

603 Forward envisions a thriving New Hampshire where all people are free to live, work and raise a family. In our New Hampshire: democracy is protected above all else; young people have a voice in government at all levels; and policy changes help to build an inclusive, affordable, and resilient state.
