Protect Policies that Create More Homes
Tell Your Legislators to Oppose HB1007, HB1009, HB1010, and HB1012
Last session, the Legislature took action and passed several important bills that will allow more homes to be built in our communities. But now, a handful of legislators who want to maintain the status quo are filing bills to reverse this progress, and ensure their cities and towns remain exclusive.
HB1010 repeals the passage of last session’s ‘Homes Near Jobs’ bill which allows multi-family residential development on commercially zoned land.
HB1012 repeals the allowance of attached and detached accessory dwelling units everywhere, limiting options for families and seniors.
HB1009 prohibits municipalities from requiring more than 1.5 parking spaces per unit for studio and one-bedroom units under a certain size that qualify for workforce housing and multi-family developments with 10 or more units.
HB1007 would make it more difficult to build manufactured housing, limiting the type of homes that can be built and Granite Staters’ access to more affordable types of homes.
We can’t let a few legislators stand in the way of what our entire state needs—we’re in a housing shortage and we need more homes. Tell your legislators to Oppose HB1007, HB1009, HB1010, and HB1012 before its hearing next Tuesday, January 13th.
