From mayors to city councils to school boards members the people we elect in local government shape nearly every part of our daily lives. But we need more young people, more diverse voices, and more everyday community members stepping up to lead and shape the future of our towns and cities.

We’ll break down what municipal government actually does, who holds power in your town or city, and how you can plug in—whether that means running for office or seeking an appointed position. You’ll also hear from young leaders who’ve gotten involved and made real change in their communities.
