Support Granite Staters’ Voting Rights

Despite being the ‘First in The Nation’ state, New Hampshire is lagging far behind the rest of the country when it comes to voter registration modernization. Right now, voters often have to register in person during limited hours or wait until Election Day, which leads to long lines, confusion, and mistakes. HB1678 is a bipartisan, common-sense step forward.

HB 1678 requires the Secretary of State to accept voter registration forms directly from voters and to create a secure online portal where eligible voters can register or update their registration. This bill meet people where they’re at. HB1678 provides voters with a secure, modern option to register on their own schedule, before Election Day. Modern systems build trust. Outdated systems create confusion. Granite Staters deserve an election system that works for them.
