2026 Town Election Features

These races decide how our schools are funded, how housing gets built, what our tax dollars support, and who represents us in the rooms where everyday decisions are made. From Select Boards and School Boards to Budget Committees and Planning Boards, town officials shape the future of our communities in real, immediate ways.

Every year in New Hampshire, towns hold their elections in the spring. The breakdown being 213 towns vote in March, 2 hold elections in April, and 6 head to the polls in May.

The momentum is already building. So far this town meeting filing season, we’ve seen 103 total young candidates across the state, including 37 who came through 603 Forward trainings stepping up to lead in their communities.
